Final Texture

My final textures are a lot better than previous work I have done I think this is mainly down to the fact that I spent a bit more time on it and I was building up layers and to add more detail but using brushes and playing around with the settings with photoshop using my own textures and sometimes creating seemless textures which I feel is going rather well. I tried to give my forklift an average look and i aim to put it in a Workshop / Garage enviroment as i feel like a lot of people will go for a generic construction site which is not a bad thing but i just want to create something a little different if I can.
At the end of textruing i decided to apply the image to one layer which allowed me to play around with the levels, constrast etc... just to finish things off.

Begin Texturing

By around week 7 I began to texture blcoking out colours, playing around with images and adding little details, slowly trying to build up layers as this is something i really wanted to do as my previous model on the course wasn't great. so i played around with some images to create seemless textures and hand drawing some details using a tablet.

AO Map

Quickly creating an AO map is a easy way to get you started on texturing as this gives you ambiant shadows which look fairly good when along side textures however sometimes they can be quiet tedious as they tend to get artifacts if you not careful which means going over the AO map to fix the problems which I was lucky enough to avoid this time

UV Mapping

UV mapping is one of the worst parts for me because it feels like it lasts for ever and it is boring, I finished UV mapping in about 2 days as i just wanted to get it over with.
